New Year's Cliche'

Well y'all it's that time of year again when people set a goal that 9 times out of ten doesn't become fulfilled. Ah, the undying tradition of the New Year's resolution.

This year I will be one of those people. I need to be! This year my best friend Kristine is getting married and I'm her maid of honor. Our dresses come in around March 15th (the ides of March). My goal is to prove that bridal shop chica wrong and to knock everyone's garters off.

I'm going to lay the cards out on the table here. Gulp. Cover your children's eyes, I'm warnin' ya, this isn't pretty, but its the painful truth.

I weigh almost 160 friggin' lbs!! I know, I can't believe it either! I think I look the same as I did when I was 149 lbs not too long ago. I'm blaming it on the holidays and not being able to go to the gym all month. I know, it's terrible, but at least I hide it well, sort of. Damn, I can't believe I just announced my ridiculous weight for all the world to see. I guess the first step is admitting I have a problem.

Anyway, when I got measured for my Maid of Honor dress I weighed closer to 150 and wore a size 8/10 (still do actually). The bridal shop owner however, decided to order me a size 16 dress! What an awful day that was. Well, my goal now is to amaze her by how large the dress is on me when I go there for the initial fitting. I hope they have to trim half of it off!!

So now it's all about eating healthier and going to the gym more regularly. I will keep you updated about my progress. Hopefully, I'll some progress pics for you too. I'm thinkin' of having Jay take one of those embarassing "before" pics where I'm wearing a bikini and looking wretched.Wish me the best y'all. And oh yeah, Happy New Year to you and yours! And good luck with your resolutions whatever they may be!

Birthday Bliss

Hey y'all...

It's been a while I know. I had a birthday last week - December 2nd. I'm officially on the wrong side of 25 (26). It was a great 2 days of celebrating. I have pictures to prove it but not readily available for me to include in this entry.

I received some very awesome and generous gifts this year. Diana (Jersey Girl From Nashville) sent me the coziest, coolest PJ's ever. They were so nice to come home to after dinner with the fam and Jay Thursday night. Truly a pleasant and most welcome surprise : )

Jay got me a be-yoo-ti-ful pink mini iPod! I looooooooooove it!! I have 64 songs on it so far. I love being able to download all of my favorite songs that I didn't already own. Such a great gift and pretty too!

Jay also came into the city on my birthday, brought me flowers, and we had lunch together. Such a sweetie : )

Kristine got me an adorable sweater that is totally me. I've managed to wear it twice since she gave it to me!! She also gave me a bracelet with sparkly stars on it ~ perfect for me! Last but not least a gorgeous pair of chandelier earrings - Diana would be so proud!!

I could go on and on about all of the gifts I received but I'm pooped. I just got back from the gym.

Thank you everyone for making my birthday so special. Thank you mom, dad, Aunt Felecia, Chris, Jay, June, Joe, Randi, Brian, Shara, Kristine, Diana, John, Mike, Tammy, Dave, Scott, and Christine. I hope I didn't foget anyone!!

I will post pictures soon - promise!!

She's Making a List...

Jay's mom has been bugging me for a christmas list. I dread this every year. I never know what to ask for. Anyone else have this problem? And it's not just the coming up with ideas, its the whole concept in and of itself. I'd prefer to be surprised. Gifts mean more to me when the giver came up with it on their own. I know Jay's mom is well-intentioned, she only wants to get me what I really want.

I always ask for CDs since I rarely buy them for myself throughout the year. There are a couple of DVDs I want - Alice in Wonderland and Bedknobs & Broomsticks. I'm afraid Jay's mom will make fun of me for these choices as she mocked Jay for putting Pete's Dragon on his list. To me, these are classic movies that we grew up with. Not only would I like to see them again, I'd like to share these childhood memories with my children someday.

Jay and I have also picked out a lot of Hallmark ornaments that we want. If we even get half of them, we'll have the greatest looking tree for years to come. Clothes are a given request. I always get lots of nice sweaters.

Oh, by the way, my birthday is this week - December 2 (the same as Britney Spears - woo hoo). I will be, dare I say it, 26 years old. Boy oh boy...I'm getting older every year...ha ha. I hope I have some fun birthday stories to share.

Let's Get Sirius!

Uuuugh....

I just came back from Union Square. I schlepped there to go see Howard Stern and the gang. He said he was doing a give-away. It was a mob scene like I expected. He was giving away free Sirius satellite radios with a free year's subscription. For those of us putzes in the back, we got a card (as shown here) to get a free radio with a year's paid subscription. I don't know if I'm gonna do it or not. I don't want Sirius now, Howard won't be on until 2006. What also sucks is that I have XM built into my car although I have yet to subscribe to it.

Opie & Anthony had some people with XM/ O & A signs but they got booed and totally out-numbered - it was great!

At least I got to see Howard, Artie, Gary and Fred...

Happy Girl

I'm a happy girl! My favorite TV show in the whole wide world - NIGHT COURT, is coming out on DVD - finally!

I have 17 tapes of this show that I taped when it was still on the air. I was a dedicated fan. I'm so excited that I'll have nice crisp DVDs of the show.

May favorite character was the womanizing Dan Fielding (played by the adorable John Larroquette.) Kinda screwed up that I had a crush on him when I was in like 5th grade!

Yay!!! It's a good day. I got the following article from www.tvshowsondvd.com

Night Court - Join Harry, Dan, Bull, Selma, etc. on DVD! **Updated** with extras
Posted by Gord Lacey
11/11/2004
Warner Bros has announced a slew of new TV titles for release on February 8th. We've already told you that Full House, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Murphy Brown were coming to DVD in 2005, but now Warner has announced The Wayans Bros, The Jamie Foxx Show and Night Court will join them. That's right, 6 comedies will receive Season 1 sets on the same day, and Warner Bros intends to launch a large promotion around the titles.

Disorder in the Court! That's the order of the day when a parade of zany--and bizarre--characters passes before a rather unconventional and unpredictable judge in this hilarious sitcom.

The 13 episodes (338 mins) of Night Court season 1 will retail for $29.98, though you should be able to find it discounted to $25. The season will be released on 2 single-sided discs, with an English mono soundtrack, and English, French and Spanish subtitles. Special features include a look back at the origins of Night Court with Creator Reinhold Weege and star Harry Anderson. Episode commentary also included.

Back By Popular Demand

......well not really, just Diana's demand ; )

I know I've been slacking, but at least I have an excuse. I was sick. I had a rotten cold that wouldn't go away. All better now.

Nothing else terribly newsworthy, I don't think... Let's see.

Well actually, my grandpa is in the hospital. He was having a pain under his ribcage and went in for testing. They just decided yesterday that they want to put in a pacemaker. Apparently, his heart rate speeds up and then drops periodically. Luckily the procedure doesn't sound like a huge deal - only 15 minutes. His health otherwise is good. Not bad for a 92 year old.

I was cat-sitting again in the city last week also. I've been doing that a lot lately. Jay isn't thrilled about it; neither is my mom. They both miss me when I'm there. I enjoy "having my own place in the city," but it does get lonely and expensive. I get chinese steamed pork dumplings like every night. When I want to be cheap, I get 2 Gray's Papaya hot dogs and a drink for $2.75, mmm mmm good!!

I think I did enough rambling for the moment. Besides, it's lunch time yo!

The Grass is Always......

.....at someone else's house.

Well, went to see the house last night. From the outside, it didn't look so good. Not at all in fact. The house is basically in someone else's backyard - apparently it was a sub-division. The house faces a very busy road and so the traffic noise is great. There is no backyard and you have to squeeze between the house and garage to walk around the house using a very narrow walkway. There is a small patio off the kitchen in the back.

When the real estate lady showed up, we finally got to look inside. It was really really cute! High cathedral ceilings, a skylight, a beautiful brick fireplace, a modern, nice-size kitchen.... The inside of the house was very doable. You  couldn't even hear the traffic. The view from the kitchen window was kind of lousy, it faced the garage roof.

We were asked to make an offer but didn't. It'd be much to soon to make a move like that and this place just wasn't desirable enough. No place for doggies or company in the yard (if you could call it one.) And the resale prospects looked grim.

On to the next!

Let the House-hunting Begin!

Well, I found a house. It's in Westwood which is like a stone's throw from my house now and even closer to Jay. It's reasonably affordable to despite the fact that it's in Bergen County. The location isn't the greatest but we'll just have to see it for ourselves. Its a ranch, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and has central air and a firplace! It's also relatively new too - built in the 90's! No basement...so that kinda sucks. I hope it looks good.

We are going to see it tonight!! I can't wait!

The American Nightmare

I have neglected this journal long enough it seems.

I'm in one of my weird moods today. I want everything and I want it now. The problem is, I feel trapped. I want what everyone else wants - the American Dream. My own home has been my primary fixation of late. The trouble is, I don't think I make enough money to actually make it happen. I love working for HBO but it just can't pay a mortgage. I found a condo in Nanuet, NY - only 15-20 minutes from where I'm living now. It would be perfect for Jay and I. He'd be much closer to work too. He'd save a lot of gas, not to mention wear and tear on his car. We'd both benefit from living in NY and not have to be double taxes (NJ &NY) like we do now. Here is the place by the way: http://www.morninggloryrealty.com/MyHomeDtl_Printable.asp?lstPages=&HomeID=177541

We drove by the place last night and got all excited about it. I'd love to take a look inside but the damn real estate lady won't get back to me. I emailed her like she requests on her site, but still no word. I guess I'm going to have to break down and call her. I don't really want to because it'll turn into a lengthy discussion that I just don't feel like having over the phone at work.

I just want all this to happen now!! I hate feeling the way I do. I feel so stressed right now. There's like ten things weighing on my mind right now - money, looking for a new job, my dad's high blood pressure, Kristine's wedding arrangements, keeping in touch with old friends,....uuughh....

Jay's mom said we could live together at her house in Jay's basement apartment for a while. It could be nice. All the amenities are there. I'm just dying to have a place of our own........NOW!

Update: I've calmed down now :-P and that condo was sold in September. Ah well sucks for me. The realtor also told me that those units are more expensive nowadays....

Beautiful Boy

Jay and I went to visit his cousin Jami and her new baby boy yesterday. His name is Brandon Michael Moritz. He was born September 16th, 2004, weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. and was 19 inches long. He is quite adorable and this is an especially exciting birth because Jami is the first cousin out of ten to have a baby! The next generation has begun! Congratulations Jami and Brian!!

I'm sooo excited because Jay and I are going on vacation on Sunday. We are going to be heading up to the Adirondacks. In case you don't know where that is, it's up-upstate New York. It's where all of the beautiful moutains and trees are - unspoiled, untouched nature at its finest! I can't wait to see it for myself - never been before.

We are staying at the Garnet Hill Lodge and we have a room with a balcony overlooking all of nature's splendor! We plan on going horseback-riding, garnet mining, and 'sploring! We are going to be there until Thursday. I can't wait to post all of my pics from the trip! Woo hoo!

Coming to a Living Room Near You!

Well, I had cameras filming me (and Jay!) twice this week so far!

On Sunday, Jay and I went to a commercial shoot for a new restaurant opening in North Bergen, NJ - Nazmi's Steak & Seafood. I had received a casting notice in my email and responded to it. I got the gig and was told to bring a friend. It was quite disorganized and not many people were there to be filmed. I guess they had the cameras focused tight on us so you couldn't tell how few diners there were.

Jay had his first acting experience! We were filmed walking into the restaurant, enjoying eachother's company at our table, and eating various courses. It wasn't so bad though, while we didn't get actual money, we got a lot of good food : ) We had bread, calamari, steak, veggies, and Baklava (which Jay liked surprisingly!)

Then last night when went and saw my friend/co-worker Allison Castillo perform for Comedy Central's Premium Blend. Two shows were filmed and for the second, we were right up front. Allison rocked the house and the crowd was amazing! I'll let ya know when those shows will air. You might even see me! A few times the cameraman was right next to my face! Yikes!

As a side note: Allison Castillo performs at The Village Lantern on Bleecker in the village in NYC doing her show - "Sweet Paprika" with other talented comedians every Friday night. Diana (AKA Jersey Girl in Nashville) and I spent many nights there sipping Appletinis and my fav - Vanilla Vodka and Coke. Those were the days weren't they Di? Ah those British lads...

Workin' for a Living

Well the other night I had the opportunity to earn some overtime so I went for it! The HBO documentaries people needed an extra hand at a screening for a new documentary - INDIAN POINT: Imagining the Unimaginable http://www.hbo.com/docs/programs/indianpoint/index.html It took place a the new Time Warner Center near Columbus Circle - beautiful place!

My job was primarily to direct guests to theater and to the reception. I got to some a few "famous" people so it made my night! First, I saw quite a few Kennedys including Rory (the director) and her brother Robert Kennedy Jr. Their father,if you couldn't guess it already, was Robert F. Kennedy. She was the cousin that was getting married when JFK Jr. crashed his plane (he was on the way to the wedding.) Also on hand was Karen Duffy (former MTV VJ, Actress/Model.) You'd know her if you saw her. Another cool thing about "Duff" is that she grew up in Park Ridge, NJ like me! I wanted to introduce myself but she was always with another much cooler celeb that I'll mention soon (or you could just look at the sexy pic I've posted with this entry ; )

Two celebs actually spoke to me! Art Garfunkel attended the screening and when he came out of the theater, he came right over to me and said, "Where do I go?" I said, "The reception is this way." And he said, "But how do I get out of here?" And I said, "Oh, the elevators are right over here." Woo hoo!

Then the man with the most beautiful eyes spoke to me! Alec Baldwin! He came of the theater and said, "This way to dinner?" And I said "Yes, this way." Woo hoo! Earlier though, I almost walked right into him - literally! I was rushing to get into an elevator to run downstairs for something and he was coming out! I had to quickly step back to avoid a collision! I laughed all the way downstairs! Of all people!

Dinner was quite yummy too! We had a buffet of chicken, fish, pasta salad, regular salad, bread + servers brought trays of lots of other goodies around too. Dessert was my favorite part - mini cheesecakes and chocolate tarts, mm mm good!

After it was all over, I got a ride all the wayto Jersey in a towncar paid for by HBO!

All that and a white wine spritzer, and I get 4.5 hours of overtime! All in a day's work : )

Big News Tuesday

Well, I have some exciting news to share! First of all, as you see in the picture to the left, I have red hair now!

This past Saturday I went to get a make-over - my mom's treat (an early b-day gift). I let the lady do whatever she wanted, so here I am! No more blonde! I'm still getting used to it, after all, I've been blonde my whole life!

My other news is even BIGGER! My best friend in the whole wide world, Kristine (AKA Camps), got ENGAGED yesterday!!! I'm so happy for her and the lucky guy - John. They've been together for years. Best of all, I get to be her maid of honor!! Mega-responsibility in the next year or two to come!!

It was really sweet how it happened. John conspired with Kristine's dad. He asked her dad to pick a nice restaurant - Golden Dynasty , schnazzy chinese place. Her parents told her a few days ago that they wanted to take her and John out for his birthday since they missed it while they were on vaca. She told John and he acted like it was an inconvenience but went along with it. After they ate (Camps, John, her parents, and her sisters), they all got ice cream for dessert. The waitress brought out hers with a fortune cookie on top. "You got a very special fortune, open it!" Kristine opened it and inside was the ring - awwwwwwwwwww : )

Its a princess cut, solitaire, platinum ring. John kept it simple so that he could take her to the jewelry store to pick out her setting. John's so smart he even sweetened the deal with Kristine's favorite recreational activity - shopping!

Good luck & Congratulations to you both, love you lots!!!!!!

Oh Hugh

Yes, I am aware that this is a very sad picture of my boy Hugh Jackman (ha - if you could tell it was Hugh!) But nothing could be sadder that the autograph he signed for me last night.

As you know, I went to The Boy From Oz on Saturday with my mom. It was a fantastic show and our seats were equally amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I had seen it once before.

I was so psyched to get his autograph after the show. I had the best picture from eBay of him as Wolverine and a silver sharpie - a thing of beauty! As soon as the house lights went up we exited the theater. We were lucky because we were on the aisle closest to the exit door and just outside that was the stage door. But egads! A huge mob was already waiting for my beloved Hugh! When he came out, I had no chance! It was too crowded, too hot, and I was battling a lousy cold.

So I decided I'd come back before the show closes September 12th and try again. Well, I went last night. Everything was perfect - the picture, the pen, and I'm apartment/cat-sitting again so no worries about catchin' a bus. I got there waaay early - I was the first one. About 15 minutes later, a man came to join me. The tough security guy questioned what we wanted Hugh to sign. "Just one! He's only signing one!" That's all I wanted him to do, just one. I waited patiently, not making a peep. I had the primo spot at the front of the railing, right by the door.

Big meany yells, "No pens. Put away your pens! I gotta pen!!" Grrr.... I wanted Hugh to use my silver sharpie : (   Ah well... I figured.... either I'd get him to use my pen anyway or black would be good enough.

Well just about 11 pm. the stage door opens and there he is, the Australian God himself - Hugh Jackman! At this point, there once again is a mob of camera flashes, screaming fans and a sea of arms weilding Playbills that begged to be signed. Hugh makes his way over to the crowd to his right, of course I was at his left. After he was done with all of them he came over my way. He had the black sharpie in hand - uh oh. It gets worse. He took my picture, turned it sideways and scribbled hapharzardly and handed it back to me! I quickly grabbed my cellphone to snap a couple shots. It was working too well because it was dark. I had strike while another person's flash was going off. Hence, this lovely shot.

I will be posting a picture of the autograph in question soon. At least when Camps and I went, we got decent ones although they were on our measly Playbills. We got good pics then too. I'll have to post those.

Sadly, I went on eBay this morning. A perfectly written, crisp, signature of Hugh's on a publicity photo was going for a mere $4.99, so I bid on it and won. Oh well.....

"Write down your worries. And then depress your companions by reading them out loud." - Eeyore

Ok, I just realized that the singer I'm listening to has a bizarre name. Her last name is her first name backwards. That would make her full name a palindrome. Weird. Ok, moving on.

I had a really down day yesterday. It was like a downpour of sadness washed over me and I couldn't really pinpoint why.

I just felt so sad and low. Everything made me sad. I walked to the Imperial Theater box office to get my mom and I tickets for The Boy From Oz. On the way I passed a poster for 42nd St. (b'way show, not the street). I got all depressed looking at all the actresses, it made me jealous. That always happens when I go to shows. I envy those people up there. They made it! They are living my dream. Sometimes my eyes fill up thinking about it while watching them sing and dance and looking like they're having the time of their lives.  It's times like that, that I realize how weak I am. The thought of pursuing that dream frightens me. These thoughts trigger a downward spiral. I think about all the things that I'm afraid of. I feel paralyzed by fear sometimes about everyday things like making a simple phonecall. Alright, this is turning into a therapy session...

I did manage to score tickets to "Oz." I think I got the last ones for a weekend matinee, the show closes on September 12th. We are going this weekend. I can't wait to see how much my mom will enjoy it. I know she will : ) Kristine and I saw it for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed watching Hugh Jackman prance around and sing!

Diana helped me a lot yesterday online. I'm going to miss her IM's when she starts her fancy job. She suggested I create a list of things I want to accomplish. She said, "make up a list of 25 or 50 things..." I had to laugh at that. I can't imagine I have more than 5; maybe THAT'S my problem! She also suggested I take a class. There are so many out there - painting, yoga, cooking etc... I think I just might. I did some research yesterday and of course some of the things I found brought my insecurities back up to the surface. I considered looking into acting classes, but I'm so scared to take one. My friends and family would be surprised to hear that cause I've done lots of plays and enjoyed every second. I don't know what's wrong with me; why more and more things intimidate me. I've gotta start working on myself, improving myself. I want to accomplish important things.

Thank you to everyone that listened to me yesterday, when I really needed it most. You are the best and can always make me smile and feel better about myself. Thanks for letting me ramble on and on and on..................

Blah

Today promises to be a boring Sunday. I have absolutely nothing going on today. It does look to be a pretty, sunny day, but of course our pool turned green in the past couple days. I don't know about you, but swimming in algae doesn't appeal to me in the slightest.

Yesterday, my mom, brother, his friend John and I went to Staples and had a little shopping spree. We needed to get everything my mom would need to set up an office at home. She got a new job and will be doing some of the work from home. It's incredible all the little things you think of that belong in an office - stapler, tape dispenser, wastebasket, filing cabinet, paper clips, etc...

Last night I actually made dinner! I made Rocco Dispirito's (from NBC's The Restaurant), Penne Alla Vodka!!http://www.nbc.com/nbc/The_Restaurant/recipes/01.shtml                                                             It was sooo good - def restaurant caliber! Everyone liked! I will have to make it again soon!!

Today is going to be totally lame. I hate days like this, when from the moment you wake up, you know you ae just going to be bored allllll day. What a waste.

Maybe I'll put some things up on eBay. My mom went through all of her jewelry and gave me a ton of stuff. So I think I'll be putting some of it up.

To top off this lousy day, I got a dentist appointment right after work tomorrow to fill a bunch of cavities - yippee! I know he's going to ask when I want to deal with my bad wisdom tooth, but I'm completely dreading that and want to put it off as long as I can. He makes me nervous cause he keeps asking, "Do you want to be put under for that?" Shouldn't he be giving me guidance in that department?

Long Time, No Write

Please excuse my TV selection for this evening. There really is not much on, I swear! Besides, I wanted to dig into this journal entry before it got much later.

At the moment, I am sitting at Cindy's apartment in NYC. Once again, I am apartment/cat-sitting for her. It's a pretty sweet deal. I'm only 1 subway stop from work, so I can sleep later - although I never do. My biological alarm clock gets me up at like 6:47 a.m. whenever I stay here. What do I do with all that spare time you ask? I watch NY1 (an all-news network on channel 1 that's only available in NYC) like every other self-respecting New Yorker does ; ) Okay, should I be scared? The lights just flickered twice - creepy!

So I know y'all are waiting with baited breath for news about my Cavy. Well, wait no more...it's home! It's all fixed and detailed too! The mechanic replaced the airbag harness & module, fixed locks, and replaced carpeting! It looks spiffier than when I first got it I'm told! My brother and dad brought it to my house tonight.

I went with my fellow HBO'ers Matthew and Youssef to "Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle." It was a funny movie, kinda what I expected it to be like. And of course, we capped off the evening with a stop at the infamous burger joint! Mmm mmm good!

I'm so psyched for the end of the week. My mom and I are going to Manahawkin, NJ to stay with Jay at his family's beach house from Thursday to Saturday. Manahawkin is near Long Beach Island. I can't wait to get into that ocean and lay on the sand. We are also bringing our little doxie Rudy with us, should be interesting. Jay has his big black lab, Buster with him down there. I hope the weather is good to us - pray for us!! I expect that we'll have a really nice time together : )

Back from Nash'!

Phew, I just read Diana's journal entry regarding my visit to Nashville, suddenly I'm feeling plagaristic (is that even a word?) She gets props for giving me a whirlwind tour of this once mysterious city in just 2 days! I had a lovely time seeing the sites and taking loads of pictures. I will be posting them soon. In the meantime, since I don't have time to type much, take a look at Diana's Journal for more details!

Car Update

Well, the insurance inspector guy came and estimated that it would cost $1184 to fix my car. They would put in a new airbag module, reset my door locks, replace carpeting, and deodorize upholstry. The next step is to have my mechanic check it out and come up with another estimate once he takes out seats and pulls up carpeting (insurance guy didn't do all that.) I'll keep you posted.

Mixed Emotions

Well, I've finally decided to put an entry into my spankin-new journal.

Here goes nothing.

Can you tell I'm procrastinating?

Anywho.... It's the night before the fate of my beautiful red 2003 Chevy Cavalier LS Sport Coupe is decided.

Last Friday night, let's see that was July 23 we apparently had some torrential downpours. I was kind of out of the loop since I worked all day and have no windows near my desk. I was also staying in the city that night - indoors.

Saturday morning, I get a call that cars are being towed out of the lot where I had parked it in Jersey. Apparently, the lot had flooded, which it often does. My precious car was parked in probably the lowest point, elevationally-speaking (look at me making up technical jargon.) I was in a panic that they'd tow my poor baby away. I made a zillion calls trying to find someone to survey the situation. My mom was the lucky candidate. She drove over to the lot to find it all dry and stores operating business as usual. She said my car was parked in its usual place and looked just fine.

Phew... No worries right? I took my time getting home and didn't get to Jersey until about 2 pm. There was my shiny red car waiting for me. I opened the door and gasped! MY CAR WAS FULL OF WATER! I sat on some old gym shorts and a plastic bag and brought my baby home. It drove just fine, but a bunch of the dashboard lights were on and the car lock buttons didn't work.

I spent a long while vacuuming it out. I also parked it on the slope of my driveway and watched with amazement at all the water draining out. It looked like I had washed the car in the driveway, that's how much water there was!

Long story short, some insurance guy is coming tomorrow to inspect it. I hear from friends and family and fellow Cavy owners online that there's a good chance that they will total it. : (

I don't know what to wish for. On one hand I love my car and hell, it's too young to die! On the other, a new car sounds nice, mind you this car is only 14 months old- that's how long I've been paying it off. If they total it, I would have to start from scratch....uhg.I was so happy to have a year of payments under my belt.

I'll keep you posted!

On the wacky/crazy front, I've decided to go to Nashville for the weekend. Yes, Nashville. My dear friend Diana just moved there like 2 weeks ago and so I'm going to see her. I just decided this today. I saw a great deal - $99 roundtrip so I went for it! What  the heck right? Travelling alone! Wow! This is kind of a big deal for me. I'm proud of myself for just going for it. And hey, I only miss one day of work! It should be exciting. Can't wait to see ya Di!!
